Geneva, June 14: President Bidya Devi Bhandari arrived here today in course of taking part in the Global Employment Summit to be held under the 106th International Labour Conference.
Upon arrival at the Geneva International Airport, President Bhandari was welcomed by Permanent Representative of Switzerland to the United Nations Amadeo Perez and the deputy chief of protocol of Geneva Canton Aline Staerkle.
Also present to welcome the President were the Assistant Director General of the International Labour Organization Tomoko Nishimoto, senior advisor to the Office of the ILO Director General Shengjie Li and senior protocol officers of the ILO. Nepali Ambassador to Switzerland and Permanent Representative to the UN Dipak Dhital and senior official of the Nepali Embassy were also present.
President Bhandari arrived here this morning from Abu Dhabi of the United Arab Emirates.
The President is accompanied by Foreign Secretary Shanker Das Bairagi, her personal secretary Dr Bimala Rai Poudyal and senior foreign ministry officials.
